Privacy

What we collect

When you register or register your interest, we collect the details on the form: your name, email, phone number, city and country, LinkedIn profile, role and employer, details about your idea and background, and billing details if your employer is paying. If you write to us directly, we keep that correspondence too.

Why we collect it

To process your registration, prepare your invoice, run the course, and, if you have agreed, send you news about future cohorts and events. We do not sell your data or use it for anything else.

Who processes it

We use these service providers, who process data only on our behalf: Hostinger (website hosting), Neon (our database, in Singapore), Resend (sending email from the website), Microsoft (our mailbox), and Sanity (the website's content, which holds no registration data). If you log in with Google or GitHub, that service confirms your identity to us. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics receives information about your visit (see Cookies below). Some of these providers process data outside Singapore. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else.

Newsletter and Community emails

We only send you the newsletter (new cities and cohorts, events and workshops) if you have agreed to it, by ticking the box on our website and confirming from the email we send, or by choosing it in Community. We keep a record of what you agreed to and when. Every newsletter has a link to unsubscribe, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.

If you are part of a cohort, we also send Community announcements about the programme and your cohort. You can switch these off at any time, with the link in each announcement or in your Community settings. Emails about your registration, invoices and logins are part of the service and are always sent.

Cookies

The website uses cookies that are needed for it to work, such as the cookie that keeps you logged in to Community and the one that remembers your cookie choice. These are always on.

With your permission, we also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure which pages are visited. We only load it after you click “Accept analytics”. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page; if you withdraw, we stop loading it and remove its cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep registration data for 24 months from your registration date, then delete it, unless we are required to keep invoicing records for longer under Singapore law.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to hello@weekendstartuplab.com. You can withdraw your consent to the newsletter at any time with the unsubscribe link in any newsletter, in your Community settings, or by writing to us. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to object to processing, to ask for a copy of your data in a portable format, and to complain to your data protection authority.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, consistent with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act.
